In the beginning…

The Web Trading Company started after myself - Matthew Howell increasingly started to see that family and friends had things at home they wanted to sell online on websites such as eBay and other online classified sites but they never got round to doing it. Reasons for them asking me to help them were mainly due to the time it takes to get the whole process started and deal with the everything involved, a lack of understanding of where to start and how to do it and / or they just couldn't be bothered to do it!

So people would ask me for advice and to help them sell their items online and I agreed as solving a problem has always been a weakness of mine. So the family and friends would pay me from the money I had made for them which seemed the fairest way and I really started to enjoy the diversity and challenge of solving this problem for people with not much time, knowledge or motivation.

I went professional…

As I started to get busier and the amount of items I had to deal with increased I  realised I needed to approach this in  a much more proficient manner and put together a service & solution that was professional and well run.  And so the start of The Web Trading Company begun and I started selling on behalf of other people professionally as a business using all of the experience I had gathered along the way of my own apprenticeship.

I have to store a lot of items whilst I am selling them so keep everything in a professional large storage premises just off the M32 in Bristol and this keeps all items I'm selling secure, heated and dust free,  I bought a large van so I can handle large and alot of items at any one time and this website so I can show everything I have for sale right now. These all mean I can offer customers the very best all round service they could want from me as I want to help people sell what's lying around if other people may want and need these items.

Where are we now…

As I'm here today business is going well and we are moving forwards constantly. I enjoy the whole process of selling items for other people and I'm always interested in more stuff to sell! I have now put together a Commercial Affiliation Package that you can read about in the Commercial section. So if you have a business that has old stock lying around or you come across items that would sell online through your day - day business please do get in touch.

So to move forwards The Web Trading Company forwards I want to increase our customer base throughout the South West and Midlands and also to get some businesses interested in our service to small and medium sized businesses to work with them and sell on their behalf online.
